Miguel Cysneiros joined TTC 2 years ago as Head Tennis Professional, energizing and improving programs, coaching and participation at all levels, and consulting to improve facilities.
He has been the Head Professional/Director at Clubs and Resorts worldwide, and has taught tennis to thousands of people in 8 countries. He is certified in Canada, USA and Portugal, and speaks 4 languages.
Miguel is a Certified Professional 1 of the USPTA (US Professional Tennis Association), and PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) Professional 5A (only 30 in the world and 2 in Canada). He earned his 25 Year Membership awards from both! Miguel is also a long time TPA (Tennis Professionals Association) Canada Certified Coach, member of Portugal’s FPT (Portuguese Tennis Federation), and Tennis Collectors of America Board member.
In recent years his academy program (Cedar Springs and ORC) has been dedicated to coaching many top 10 provincial and nationally ranked players, in Canada and Europe, winning dozens of tournaments. Many earned US university scholarships, or joined the pro circuit. Miguel values personal development, family, academics, and tennis fundamentals based on quality personal coaching.
As parent/player mentor, he presented the seminar “Coaching your Child - Glory and Pitfalls“ at the PTR International Symposium, S. Carolina. Miguel's sons Michael and David are ranked players, and certified instructors, who help at TTC in Spring and Fall.
Miguel is a Board member of the Tennis Collectors of America Association, and founded “Classic Racquets from Around the World”, the largest tennis collection in Canada. He is a member of “Ontario Tennis” Magazine writers panel, and founded the Oakville “Tennis Festival” introducing tennis to 1200 people yearly.
Along with 4 Academy locations in south Portugal, he managed for 10 years the Tennis & Golf Center at “Leading Hotels of the World -Vila Vita Park” luxury resort, where his program rated as one of the top in southern Europe.
Miguel’s Tennisport Intl. Consulting, helped plan & develop 5 other resort clubs, hosted ATP/WTA pro tours, the Intl Airlines Tennis Cup, and the first Davis Cup tie (Portugal vs Hungary) in Algarve, another “first major event“.
Previously in Toronto/GTA he was co-founder and Pro Manager at Queen’s Quay/Waterside Racquets, Lambton G & CC, and others.
